London Coffee Shops: Attendant

Older architecture in London means you get shops and coffee houses with really interesting designs. One such cafe that I’ve been wanting to visit for a while is Attendant  its a cafe built in an old Victorian public toilet from the 1800s. How funny is that? Just a stones throw from Oxford Circus, it doesn’t scream cafe, apart from the signage. The iron entryway, however, is a lovely welcome.

The selection of food was delightful, but it took us no time at all to decide what we wanted to eat! Jaye went for the french toast and I decided on the avocado toast with poached eggs. It was so tasty, we both totally cleaned our plates!

We couldn’t help but admire the decor, with its crisp white subway tile and original floor. The old urinals were refurbished into tables and though that sounds a bit weird, it makes for a really lovely atmosphere. It’s small and very cozy! Lucky we were the only two there when we first arrived, so we could take lots of pictures!

Attendent is located at 27a Foley Street, London W1W 6DY
