Everyone has those go to hairstyles they love wearing. For whatever reason, we develop a certain style and hair is a big part of that! Over the years I have come to find that there are 4 main hairstyles I tend to utilize. A few of them developed from laziness and others from an attempt to extend my repertoire of hairstyles. These four certainly aren’t the only ones I use but they are definitely favorites!
The “Au Natural”
Or, more accurately, when my hair does what it wants. I stopped using hair dryers and straighteners ages ago, and these days I’m much more of an air dry and go kind of girl. It’s nice to let my curls go free! This is becoming more and more my go to hairstyle… at least until I decide to put it up!
The Big Bun
This is a common one when I am in a rush or my hair is especially frizzy. When I wear my hair out, there is almost always a point when I pop it into a bun. I just pile it on top of my head and go! I do style it a bit, but putting my hair up in a bun tends to be more fuss free. It’s quick and easy, it looks cute, and I don’t have to think much about it!
The 90’s Half-Do
We all remember that classic 90’s hairstyle, don’t we? Half up, half down, and oh so cool. Well, I’ll be the first to admit that I still rock that look. It’s perfect when I want to let my curls out and keep them off my face at the same time. It’s like Scary, Sporty and Baby Spice all rolled into one hairstyle!
The Braided Headband
I love a good braid. It’s the perfect addition to any do. Most of the time, I’ll do a dutch braid in front and then either have my hair loose or in a bun. It’s just a fun way to mix it up! Of all the hairstyles I tend to wear, having any kind of braid takes the longest, but it’s a good way to update any of the above styles as well! Braid with a messy bun? Done it. Braid with my hair out? Done it!
