my favorite posts from 2016

December 31, 2016

Here we are at the end of 2016, and what a year it’s been! It’s a bit weird to think about where I was last year and all the great things that have happened in the last 365 days. Fair, there were a few blips along the way, but that’s life isn’t it? Still, as 2016 draws to a close, I’d like to think about the great things that happened this year!

Life

This year has been really amazing and I feel like I’ve grown so much because of it. The biggest thing that happened whas that I got married to the man of my dreams (again) and it was the greatest day of my life, no contest! 2016 als brought me some new and really great friends! Special shout out to Jaye, Claire, Kristabel, Carrie, and Milli for being such supportive and wonderful people! Im so glad that we’ve been able to become friends! The last few months I have been segueing into a new career, which has definitely been challenging but I’m hoping that 2017 sees that grow even more!
Here’s my post about the best day of my life this year!

Food

I love to bake, and this year there certainly was no shortage of baked goods! I tried out a few new recipes and refined a few old ones! I’ve got a few new cookbooks as well, that I’m excited to crack open in the new year! I’ve got a list of recipes in my bullet journal that I want to try so hopefully, I can tick a few more off in 2017!

These are my favorite recipe posts!
My Famous Snickerdoodles
Lemon Drizzle Cake

London

Its hard to believe I’ve been living here two years already! Sometimes it feels like I’ve been here forever. The good thing is, there are so many amazing things to see and do that I don’t think I’ll ever get bored. I’m working on some fun content for next year as well, and it’s all to do with this gorgeous city I call home! That’s the really great thing about this city… there’s always some secret to discover!

My favorite London posts:
Portobello Road
My Favorite Coffee Shops

Outfits

I feel like my style has changed a lot in the last year and I’m definitely coming into my own, I think. I didn’t do as many outfit posts as I would have liked, but I’m definitely finding my likes changing and I want to really invest in my wardrobe. My 2017 goal is to build a capsule wardrobe with some fun pieces thrown in! Basic pieces I can wear all the time, and then fun things to mix it up! It’s what any sensible girl would do, really, isn’t it?

My favorite outfits this year!
Limoncello
Gingham Blues
Sparkles and Stripes

Travel

Okay, so, I didn’t really do much traveling this year, mainly because I spent the better part of six months planning my wedding and it’s hard to do that and also plan trips elsewhere. That’ll be changing in 2017, I swear! There’s so much of the UK I want to see, and Europe is just on my doorstep so I’m certainly going to take advantage of that if I’m able to! The only major time I traveled this year was to head back to New York for the first time since I moved! I’ve got some posts all about it in the new year, but for now, here are two that I wrote this year!

My favorite travel posts:
8 Hours in Brighton
A Day Trip to Stonehenge and Bath

There you have it! My favorite posts from 2016, with a few goals for the new year thrown in! Is there anything you did this year that you’re particularly proud of? I’d love to hear!
