IT’S SPRINGTIME, Y’ALL! The clocks have gone forward, the weather is getting warmer and now all I can think about is days in the sun (cue my summer fun playlist that evokes driving down a country road with the windows rolled down… you know the feeling, right?) I thought it was time I started dusting off my warm weather wardrobe, though I’m still leaving a few knits out. You know, for rainy days, and evenings when it’s still a little bit chilly! I’m thinking I need to brighten up my wardrobe, so here’s my spring wishlist!
Here are a few things that I’m really excited to add to my wardrobe now that the weather is warming up! After my ‘Wear My Wardrobe’ earlier this year, how I’ve been thinking about clothing has definitely changed. Some things are just classic for warm weather, aren’t they?
Straw Bag, Zara // Gingham Dress, Monki // Keds, Rifle Paper Co // Denim Jacket, Gap // Sailor Jeans, Boden // Leopard Dress, & Other Stories // Pink T-Bar Flats, New Look // Cutie Tee, Sugarhill Boutique // Floral Scarf, Mango
PATTERNS, PATTERNS, PATTERNS! I’m a big fan of patterns all year round, but there are some that just scream spring time! Which is of course why my spring wishlist is full of them! Give me all the baby blue gingham, and the bright florals! I’m always more drawn to bright colors, so don’t tend to wear as many patterns during the colder months. I’ve got a lot of grey, and navy jumpers that I’m certainly happy to be stashing away for now!
BLUSH PINK ALL THE WAY! I mean, let’s be real for a second. I’m kind of obsessed with pink right now. Can you tell? Blush pink is a particular favorite at the moment. In springtime, it makes me think of all the pretty blossoms and what could be wrong with that? Absolutely nothing. I’m keen on these shoes too, because they have a sandal feel without being open toed (I have a weird complex about my toes, so open-toed shoes are something I avoid). I’m sure I’ll be investing in similar styles over the coming months!
DOUBLE THE DENIM! An absolute classic! I’ve got a great denim jacket from Dahlia that has some cool embellishments on it. I thought I’d have a look at a more classic, simple one as well. Great with all manner of summer dresses and flowy trousers. Plus, it’ll get worn season after season after season! A spring wishlist essential in my book!
STRAW BAGS MEAN SUMMER! I missed the straw bag phenomenon last year, but I’m fully on board these days. Imagine this bag filled with fresh flowers from Columbia Road, or with lunch for a cheeky picnic in the park. Iconic? I think so!
