Ghenet Actually || Lazy Oaf Cloud Dress, shot at the Horniman Museum
I’ve been wanting to do a post on this adorable cloud dress since I got it a few months ago, but hadn’t had a good moment to do so. I’ve worn it a few times, around the house but this was really my first time properly wearing it out. I thought that visiting the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill would be the perfect place to take a few pictures. The weather has been rather overcast the last few days, so the dress felt very appropriate.

I normally tend to avoid clothing that is styled as “oversized.” As a larger girl, wearing things that carry that label tend to make me look even heavier than I am, and the boxy cut completely eliminates my curves. Of course, when I tried the dress on, it was too adorable to resist. I love how flowy it is, and the fact that it’s got pockets. Whoever first decided to put pockets in dresses is a genius!

It’s funny, I’ve always thought of myself as something of a tomboy. When I was younger, I lived in jeans and sneakers. Lately though, it seems dresses are my hearts desire, and I can’t actually remember the last time I bought jeans. I currently own exactly zero pairs of jeans. Still, I’m loving this dress, and I feel great in it! At the end of the day, that’s the important thing!

what I wore: dress, lazy oaf // shoes, office // socks, topshop // bag, modcloth
