3 Great Ways to Have Your Ice Cream

October 17, 2016
In collaboration with Simply Ice Cream
If you’re anything like me, and have a raging sweet tooth, you’ll eat ice cream all year round. I know I do! It’s so refreshing in the summer, and there’s something so soothing about curling up in a warm jumper and duvet, with a bowl of ice cream. So when Simpy Ice Cream got in touch about collaborating on a post, I thought, yes please! Simply Ice Cream is a company based in Kent that specialize in homemade ice creams. They’ve got over 20 flavors of ice creams and sorbets, so much so that I had difficulty choosing which flavors I wanted to try! What a tough life I lead. So, without further ado, here are some great ways to have your ice cream and eat it too!

Ice Cream Sandwiches

If you’ve got biscuits in your house, this one is nice and easy! You can use any biscuits you want for the perfect snack! I baked some fresh chocolate chip cookies for these bad boys. Scoop out your ice cream, pop on one cookie, and press together with another! It’s so simple! They’re certainly a great treat in summer and in winter! My ice cream went a bit melty as I pressed the warm cookies together, but that’s the way it should be!

Cherry Coke + Hot Chocolate Floats

If you’ve never had a hot chocolate float, you need to do it now. The ice cream makes it so smooth and delicious, no matter how contradictory it sounds to put something cold into a hot beverage. I added some salted caramel ice cream to my hot chocolate, and it was so good! If that’s a little too risque for you, you can swap the hot chocolate for root beer or cherry coke! Soda floats are a total classic and certainly aren’t limited to just vanilla ice cream!

Classic Sundae

Perhaps the most chilled out way to go for a bit of ice cream? Classic sundaes are the way to go. After all, a bowl of ice cream + a warm duvet + a great film is the perfect way to spend a few hours. For this one, I kept it simple with a maple pecan and brown bread mix, which was completely perfect. Top it off with a few sprinkles, and voila! Anything can go on top of course, but since the flavors were unique, I wanted to keep it simple!

All of the ice cream flavors from Simply Ice Cream were absolutely delicious, and better still, they are available at select locations in London. Would I go out of my way for some more of the salted caramel or brown bread ice cream? Oh, absolutely! I had such fun tasting the ice cream, and putting together this post, and I’m so happy to be able to share it!
