I’m Ghenet and welcome to my blog! I’m a New Yorker born and bred, currently living my best life in South London! I still unapologetically spell things the American way, because I just can’t cope with all those extra ‘u’s! It’s hard to overcome 27 years of habit! This blog is my life: a little bit of London with a slice of New York! I’m just trying to make the most of this life that I’ve got. The little things are just as important as the big ones!
Ghenet Actually started as a way to be creative when I first moved to the UK and was unemployed (and a little bit lonely). I’ve had a blog for a few years, but only recently has it turned into what you see now! This blog is a chance for me to share my experiences so that perhaps you feel a little less alone in yours. So what kind of content can you expect? Recipes I love making in my home, how I’m learning to dress my body and express my personal style, important topics I want to discuss, and my life in general.
A little bit more about me… I’m very happily married, and Mr. Actually and I live nice and cozy in a flat in South London with our very naughty one-eyed cat, Rex! When I’m not lounging on the couch with a cup of tea and a book, I’m exploring all the little corners of this city I call home, baking cakes in my tiny kitchen, finding new coffee shops to visit, and enjoying the company of my internet-turned-IRL friends! I’m just trying to live my best curly haired, glasses wearing, size 16/18, quirky, colorful life!
A few T’s & C’s
Guys, I want to be totally upfront with you and be fully transparent. I’m asking you to trust me and my opinions, and we’re building a relationship, am I right? Everything I post about is 100% me. My opinions, products and brands I genuinely love, and things I’d have no problem spending my hard earned cash on. That being said, there are a few things I should mention. Opinions are my own, and unless otherwise stated, all items featured have been purchased with my own hard earned pound sterling.
Sponsored Posts & Gifts
When it comes to sponsored posts, or anything where I’ve worked with a brand, I will always include a disclaimer under the first image of the post. Brand collaborations are really amazing, but they have to be genuine. If you see something on my blog, and it doesn’t seem natural or organic, well, I’ve not done it right then, have I? Sometimes, I’m sent gifts, and they may appear on the blog. Anything that has been gifted to me, I’ll be sure to let you know by listing it as c/o (courtesy of) the brand, if not stated outright in the post itself that it was a gift. I want to be honest and upfront about things!
