I’m starting off the year with a fun little challenge for myself. You know when you’re standing in front of your wardrobe and all you can think is, “I have nothing to wear!” I am so guilty of telling myself this, and then going out to buy new clothes, then having the same crisis the very next day. So each week this January, I am going to create 2 or 3 new outfits (depending on what my schedule is like!) from what is already in my wardrobe. I’m not allowed to buy anything new! I thought it would be a fun way to start the year!
Coffee with Millie
You know when you have an idea and it’s totally great, but then the logistics of actually doing it suddenly starts to make you panic? What a great idea to make all these outfits, but how to photograph them? I made the decision then that if I am gonna do this, it’s got to be more casual. So I’ve made plans with lots of friends and casually ask them to photograph my outfit. That’s not awkward at all is it? First, I had coffee with Milli, who is quickly becoming a really great friend! We have such great chats about live and all manner of things and it’s always genuinely really nice to spend time with her. It also helps that she’s a fellow blogger and we’ve done outfit shoots together before! The dress I chose for this outfit is one I wore once when I bought it last year (I think in about January!) and when I put it on I realized that I definitely love it, but I get a bit self-conscious about how it makes my chest look. Just me being silly I know, but it was still nice to take the dress for a spin again! I really need to keep this in my regular outfit rota!

Crepes with Carrie
There are so many bits of London I love exploring. One of them is Hampstead. It’s so vintage feeling, and I love all the little houses and cobbled streets. So when I was making plans with Carrie, my first thought was to head up to Hampstead. We had a nice afternoon just wandering around the little streets, nibbling on some amazingly delicious crepes, and then sitting down for a more proper lunch where we talked about so much. Things I learned… Stinging Nettles are a real thing and not just some mythical potions ingredient from Harry Potter! That’s what you get when you grow up in a city and then move to another city! The outfit I went for was a jumpsuit that I bought from The Whitepepper a few years ago (RIP… I’m so gutted they’ve gone out of business). Another item I’ve only worn once. The main reason I don’t wear it is because the straps are too long. It’s probably an easy fix, but I just never got around to it. I love the jumpsuit though and I’ll have to find a few creative ways of wearing it!

Greenwich Wanderings with Liam
Friday brought a fun afternoon wandering round Greenwich with my friend Liam, who takes some really cool photos (check out his Instagram!). We walked around for an hour or tow, and even stumbled upon the remnants of a film set (we have a sneaking suspicion that it was Sherlock Holmes related, but I guess we’ll have to see…)! The star blouse, I’ve worn on the blog before, but the green jumper was a wintertime treat from H&M fairly recently. The skirt on the other hand was a gift from my mom a few years ago, something yet again I never wear! It seems that metallic skirts are making a comeback at the moment though, so lucky me!

So far I’m really having fun planning all my outfits! It’s certainly a challenge, but hopefully I’m able to keep putting fun things together!
