My second outfit of the Wear My Wardrobe challenge is all about the check! Would you believe this is a pattern I never really embraced until my move to the UK. It’s a staple of the quintessential British style, isn’t it? The second the weather gets a little chilly, the adorable checkered jackets get dusted off and I get all the outfit envy! I see so many cute outfits, which in part inspired my check blazer mismatched look!
The thing I like most about this check blazer is that it can go with just about anything! I thought I’d pair it with a pair of check trousers I had, even though they don’t match up exactly. That’s what makes it work I think! Paired with a bit of leopard (which I’m always game for) and my ever trusty Converse, I thought I ended up with a slightly coordinated look! I will admit, the shape of this blazer is not entirely flattering, so I’m definitely going to add a new one to my shopping list. Maybe a shorter length, or a nice longline jacket?
The t-shirt was a gift from one of my favorites, Sugarhill Boutique, and I wear it all the time! It’s so comfortable, and I love the stars on it too. I don’t think I featured it on the blog in a formal capacity, but it’s definitely been on my Instagram! I’m a big fan of Sugarhill Boutique and have bought a lot of things from them over the years! In fact, they’ve got a few things I’m keeping my eye on at the moment. Don’t worry, I’ve not broken my ban just yet! I’ve resisted temptation, and I definitely think I’m learning more about my personal style. I’ve also started a list to keep track of what I’m lacking in the way of clothing! So far, I’d say this has been a success!
