A small print from a local market turned into one A small print from a local market turned into one of my favourite pieces in my home.

I found this little beauty from @geoberri at @saladdaysmarketlondon a few weeks ago and as soon as I saw it, I thought of going to summer camp as a child.

But the perfect print needed the perfect frame, so I decided to try out this DIY project I’ve seen floating around for a while. It turned an unused frame into something a little more personal.

I love taking simple things and styling them in a way that makes my space feel more personal and lived in. It’s the small details that make a home feel like you.

New job, same old wardrobe ⚡️ I’ve had a few week New job, same old wardrobe ⚡️

I’ve had a few weeks of change recently: ending one job, taking a pause, and starting another.

And somewhere in the back of my head, that little voice popped up: ‘maybe you need something new to wear!’

BUT I already have a wardrobe full of pieces that feel like me. AND I’m still smack in the middle of my 6-month shopping ban.

It made me realise how natural it is to want “new things” for a new season of life. I’ve definitely been that person before.

Why do we tie new beginnings to new purchases? It feels like buying a new outfit and school supplies for the first day of school.

It’s not just me, right? Do you feel that too when you’re in a transitional period? 💬

Booking train tickets is the only appropriate response. 💪🏾🎟️🚆

Because we’ve been besties for nearly 20 years, and Shakespeare nerds for even longer.

Visiting Stratford-upon-Avon was a lovely day trip though k have to admit I did get a bit emotional when we visited the church where he’s buried. They had his will on display and seeing his handwriting scrawled across the page was something else.

And the show? Phenomenal. Of course.

Back in January I pressed pause on buying new clot Back in January I pressed pause on buying new clothes. 4 months in, it’s changed more than I expected.

I’m already pretty mindful with shopping, but even the secondhand impulse buys were starting to add up. This just helped me slow everything down.

Here’s what I’ve noticed so far:

✨ I’ve rediscovered pieces I forgot I owned: When nothing new is coming in, it’s easier to actually *see* what’s already there.

✨ I’m planning even more intentionally: Anything on my wardrobe wish list gets revisited, reconsidered and in some cases, just plain removed!

✨ I’m more aware of my changing tastes: Some purchases were definitely just moods or passing fancies. Focusing on my current wardrobe makes that really obvious.

I still have 2 months to go, but I’ll be honest, I already feel more at home in my wardrobe than I have in a while.

Here’s what I post about👇🏾 ✨outfits from my ward Here’s what I post about👇🏾

✨outfits from my wardrobe: I’m a secondhand, wear what you own kind of girl, so no shopping hauls here…

✨DIY and home inspo: my husband and I bought our forever home two years ago and we’re slowly transforming it…

✨Books and Baking: my two favorite hobbies!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned as we turn our h If there’s one thing I’ve learned as we turn our house into a home, it’s that rooms don’t come together overnight.

Instead, they go through a slower kind of transformation, evolving little by little.

I think there’s this idea that we need to buy loads of new stuff to make a space feel like home, but I think it’s more about rediscovering things you already had, moving things around and if you are buying, buying with intention.

It’s not perfect, and it’s definitely not finished, but it already holds little pieces of me.

Because it’s not just decorating, it’s curating peace… and the magic is in letting it come together slowly.

Did you know you can visit Highclere Castle, where Did you know you can visit Highclere Castle, where they filmed Downton Abbey?

I’ve been wanting to go for years and I finally made it!

About an hour outside of London in Hampshire, the interior of the house and some of the exterior were used over the course of the show.

Photography isn’t allowed inside but we got to see the library, the grand staircase and the bedrooms that were used in the show.

The extensive gardens are also pretty impressive and we lucked out with a gorgeous day, perfect for exploring the gardens and wooded areas.
