You’re killin’ me, Smalls! Extra s’mores for you if you know what movie that’s from! One of the things no one tells you about moving to another country is that you get overly excited when you see products you loved as a kid on the shelf of a grocery store. Case in point, I met up with Carrie and we ended up browsing shelves at Panzer’s Deli. Lo and behold, what did I find but a box of graham crackers! Carrie, and Liv (who we bumped into while browsing!) can both attest to the fact that I lost my mind, to put it lightly. And once I had that box of graham crackers in my hand? Well, the obvious answer was to make some s’mores of course! Oh the nostalgia!

The smell of toasted marshmallows makes me think of evenings at summer camp around a campfire. The good news is, while a campfire may not be an option, getting equally toasty marshmallows is very easy. All you need is an oven and a baking tray!

And now on to the recipe![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Easy Oven S’mores

When camping isn’t an option but you’re in the mood for a cozy treat that takes literal minutes, oven s’mores are absolutely the way to go!

Makes 4 s’mores, but it’s easy to make more or less!

[/vc_column_text][vc_separator el_width=”60″ css=”.vc_custom_1580399720279{padding-top: 10px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”][vc_column_text]

Ingredients

4 graham crackers* (or 8 digestive biscuits)

1 bar of chocolate, broken into squares

4 marshmallows

*Now, I’m a bit of a purist, and to me graham crackers and digestives are completely different beasts. The texture is different and grahams have a lighter more cracker like consistency. However I fully recognize that not everyone is in the mood to trek to a grocery store that sells American goods, so I’ll give you a pass here (LOL).

Directions:

1. Turn on the grill as high as it will go and place the rack in the top third of the oven. (I usually go one down from the top. You want it close, but not too close!)

2. Break your grahams in half and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in two lines. One line will be for chocolate and the other for marshmallows.

3. Place a square of chocolate in the center of each graham, down one line. Place a marshmallow in the center of each graham down the other line.

4. Place the baking tray under the grill for 2 minutes!

5. Take the tray out of the oven, and leave it to cool for a minute or two. Then, take the marshmallow side, and place it on top of the chocolate side, like a sandwich. The chocolate will be nice and melty!

6. Repeat till all your s’mores are paired up and enjoy![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
