One Vintage Scarf, Six Ways to Wear
There is nothing I love more than a good hair scarf. They’re perhaps one of my favorite hair accessories and I have a rather large collection, big and small. I did a reel way back in September about some of the ways I wear a hair scarf and I thought I’d expand on that. Truthfully, there are so many ways to wear a hair scarf. To me, it’s a great way to finish off an outfit. Or you know, those days when you can’t be bothered to do your hair but you still want to look cute. Vintage scarf for the win!

Tie It In A Bow
My usual go to for a hair scarf is wearing my hair in a ponytail. With smaller scarves I just tie it once, but with big scarves sometimes I do a nice big bow. This also works for buns or if I do a sort of half up half down situation. All you need to do is scroll through my Instagram to see how often I’m wearing hair scarves. A nice scarf always adds a bit of a finishing touch and I sometimes feel like I’ve not finished my outfit without one!

Wear It As A Neck Scarf
The obvious choice perhaps but I do think a good neck scarf is a staple! Sometimes I wear it long, or I double wrap it. Of course, I also have smaller scarves that are the perfect little accoutrement. A nice little neck scarf with a Breton top is oh-so-adorable, or with a summer dress? Anyway, wearing a scarf at your neck is definitely something to have in your repertoire!

Wear It As a Headband
Another great go to is wearing my scarf like a headband. Sometimes I just tie it around my hair,. Other times I’ll braid it through my hair. This one is also a lovely bad hair day saviour. My curls don’t always do what I want them to, but a nice hair scarf never really goes amiss. I love wearing a cute headband with jeans and a t-shirt, or something like that! It’s a win win really. My new favourite way to wear a hair scarf is braided around my head – just like this reel. It’s very comfy.

I think the important thing is to try what you like, but I am a sucker for a vintage scarf. I’ve got most of mine from Esty (I just search for vintage silk scarf), though I’ve also seen some cute ones on Depop. I’ve got a couple of cute ones from Rock’n’Rose as well. It depends on your style, really, but there are so many great options! Hopefully this offers a little inspiration into how you can make the most of your accessories as well as your wardrobe!
