Style Diaries: Postcards from Sardinia

I’m well and truly extending this holiday for as long as I possibly can. I mean, I’ve still got my tan, so why the heck not? Anyway, there’s so much to talk about! I posted last week about packing and how rubbish I am at it. I tried a slightly different technique when packing this time around, and I have to say, it went pretty well! Did I wear every single thing I packed? No. Still, I thought I’d put together and show you a little style diary, you know? Postcards from Sardinia!

I have to admit, the idea of dressing up and shopping for a trip definitely appealed to me. Normally, when I’m working, I just dress for comfort since I wear a partial uniform. Then, when I’m out with friends, I sometimes feel like I forget my style. Knowing I had 10 days to just be myself, and it was very freeing! That being said, I definitely had to do some shopping! The weather in Sardinia is much warmer than England!

The packing method I used worked a real treat. During the day I was keeping it more casual, but having the dresses to change into in the evening, made dinner a more fancy affair. I particularly loved the red polka dot dress from Next, though I did bring two others with me! They didn’t get quite as much wear though, I have to say!

Honestly, I wish I could dress like I was on holiday all the time. I love it! I just felt like myself in a way I usually don’t when I’m working. I definitely need to find a way to carry that through to my everyday life. It’s just so hard since I wear a uniform at work! Still, my holiday style was the definition of fin and free! Postcards from Sardinia indeed!
