It’s Cold In Here…
Okay okay, I know we’re technically a whole month into winter, but it’s been mild for the most part hasn’t it? Though recently, I’ve felt the temperatures dropping which means it’s time to switch up my coats! One of the things I was determined to do this season was have more than one winter coat option. The temperatures can very so having a few options is just smart, isn’t it? I found this beauty on eBay way back in November and I’ve been waiting for it to be cold enough! Well, now that the temperature has dropped, I think it’s time!
I talk alot about the fact that I struggle in the Winter, purely because I hate it. I hate being cold, I love the sunshine, and I suffer when the days are so short. Basically, I’m a lizard. Or a cat who finds sunspots and just naps in them… Yeah, I’m basically a cat.
One of the ways I’ve been able to cope a bit better is by making sure my winter wardrobe is PACKED with color. There was a time when I wore nothing but black, like I was in mourning or something! These days, my winter coat is more of a light bright vibe. Maybe that’s why I fell in love with this Marks and Spencer coat way back in 2017! The patterns, the color combo… it just so fun!
I didn’t buy it then though, and I regretted it.
I remembered it and would occasionally search eBay for something similar. Then, one day, there it was! I kept an eye on it, and then once pay day rolled around, I treated myself! It was in such good condition, and ever since it arrived, it’s been waiting to be worn! I’ve actually been excited for cold weather so I could wear my winter coat! How wild is that?!

I’m still working on being more conscious with my shopping, and as a result, I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time on Pinterest… I can’t stop pinning winter outfit ideas for inspiration. After all, I want to be warm and look cute so… Seeing how other people are styling their winter coats is actually really helping me make the most of my wardrobe! I’ve also had a little revelation in that my winter coats are more than just a thing to keep me warm. They should be as much a part of my wardrobe as my regular clothing. Honestly, it sounds silly, but it’s made a big difference in my mindset!
I’ve been styling my camel coat (also secondhand) quite a bit after seeing some cute things on there, so why not search for inspo for this coat too? Honestly, I’m so happy with my wardrobe at the moment that I want to wear everything and it’s such a great feeling!
I definitely used to be more of a frumpy but warm kind of gal, but I’m feeling pretty inspired by this coat! What else could you want when it’s cold out?
