I can officially tick lavender fields off my list for the summer! I’ve been dying to visit some for absolutely ages. My pal Michelle and I decided that I would hop on a train and come visit her in Stevenage! Seeing as how she’s always coming to London, it seemed only fair! We’d talked in the past about going to a lavender field and it just so happened there was one right in the area! So off we went for a wander in the sunshine!
This weather has been so nice lately and I’m feeling very grateful for it. Especially when surrounded by such beautiful fields! There’s something so calming about a little lavender, isn’t there? I use one of those lavender pillow sprays when I can’t sleep. Maybe that’s why the whole day was so chilled out and lazy! All the lavender! We were at Hitchins Lavender Farm in Hertfordshire, that has wildflowers, poppies, and sunflowers as well as a sweet little cafe and shop. The views are stunning, and it just goes on for miles and miles! We had such a lovely time wandering the fields and catching up with each other!
Lately I’ve been feeling in the mood for pretty summer dresses that are a little bit grown up. I know everyone is going gaga over that gorgeous gingham Monsoon dress (I’ve got my eye on the red one!) but I fell in love with this linen beauty! I’ve actually bought it for a wedding in the lake district in a few weeks, but I decided I wanted to take it out for a spin first! I love how it looks with the lavender! I’m totally tooting my own horn, not gonna lie! It was such a nice day, and Michelle and I had such a great time!
