3 Nude Lipsticks for My Brown Skin
One of the beauty trends I’ve always wanted to try was a pretty nude lip. I saw this gorgeous ‘gram of Anna and I suddenly became obsessed with the idea of sporting a camel colored pout. There’s just one problem: being darker skinned, finding a nude color that suited me was going to be tricky. Also, my lips are two different colors. I know, weird right? My top lip is darker than my bottom lip, so finding nude lipsticks that flattered both took some work! Still, I persevered and finally found a few that I really love!
Mac Cosmetics Lustre Lipstick in Touch
One of the first nude lipsticks I ever tried was MAC’s Velvet Teddy. It was absolutely ages ago when I did a little photoshoot with Stylist magazine, and they had us trying out a few different products, including nude lipsticks. While I liked it, it wasn’t entirely the right shade. Still, I thought it would be a good place to start looking. I also tried Taupe, which I liked but was a little too light, and Patricia Bright’s nude lipstick which was also great! At the end of the day, it was Touch that stole my heart and I’ve been wearing it constantly!
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Lipstick in Very Victoria
I’ve never used much Charlotte Tilbury before, but someone suggested this on my Instastories. So off I toddled to a shop near work and gave it a go! They’ve actually got quite the selection of nude lipsticks, and I tried a few shades. Penelope Pink, Pillow Talk and Stoned Rose were all contenders but this one was my favorite. I love the pinky undertones and how they blend with the brown. It felt like I had lipstick on, but it was definitely more natural glow and suited my complexion well!
Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Walkyrie
As far as nude lipsticks go, this one comes out tops. I really like that it’s a pencil too so it’s super easy to apply. I’ve been wearing this one a ton since I picked it up. The color of this nude lipstick is the perfect blend of my two natural lip colors! It goes on really smooth, and is definitely long lasting. It’s a great one for jazzing up an everyday look, or even when I’m feeling fancy!
It’s such a strange thing, shopping for nude lipsticks. Given my complexion, and the fact that my lips are two different colors, the search for flattering nude lipsticks was a long one! Funnily enough, even finding this camel jumper was a bit tricky; finding the right shade of a color is key! Finding a nude lipstick that complemented my two lip colors, as well as my complexion, actually feels like something of an accomplishment!
I so want that Charlotte Tilbury one now — it looks so pretty! And it really is the perfect nude for brown skin and I am always on the hunt for that.

I really like the CT one! They had a few options so it’s definitely worth trying some on before you buy them! It’s really nice though!
Considering the fact that i’m always on the hunt for the perfect nude lipstick for me, I’m definitely gonna check out these suggestions and see if they suit me!
