Off The Shoulder
Confession: I’m in serious denial over the end of summer. It happens every single year, without fail. I look up and realize that actually, I might want to bring a jumper with me in case I get chilly. I was born in summer, I love summer. I feel like I can actually live, whereas Fall means winter is coming and I despise being cold. I would literally hibernate through the cold months if I could. I think my style comes to life in the summer and I’m much more risky! I even show off a little shoulder!

In a last ditch effort to prolong that last bit of summer (it is still August after all!) I decided this gorgeous off the shoulder dress needed to see the sun one more time before I retired it for the season. I bought it from & Other Stories way back in June to wear on P and my one year anniversary. I will admit, the off the shoulder trend took me some time to get into… I’m on the bustier side so finding styles that still allowed for a bra was a definite must. I could never go strapless (unless I’m in the mood to continuously hoist my strapless bra up from around my ankles, which let’s be honest, I’m not) but a cheeky bit of shoulder was just what the doctor ordered!

I found a few pieces this summer, but this dress was by far my favorite! I’m also obsessed with the color and I think it’s one of those dresses that is universally flattering on people. The moment I put it on, I knew it would have a happy home in my wardrobe. I’m going to be rather sad when the weather turns and I have to pack away this gorgeous number until it’s warm again. The best bit about this dress? Hiding the food baby I’ve got from the tasty brunch Kristabel and I devoured before deciding to take outfit shots!
What summer trends have you been loving?

See, I’m an autumn girl through and through… I start counting down the days until I can get all my jumpers, scarfs and ankle boots out from about May onwards. I genuinely think I’m a nicer person in autumn, too! ? However, that outfit is super cute and I’m sure with a leather jacket and some tights, it will see you into autumn seamlessly ? xxx
So interesting isn’t it? I don’t mind autumn at all but I DETEST being cold so knowing that winter is on the horizon taints it just a little bit ?
That dress is lovely and I love all the colour in your photos!
I do love Autumn but the end of summer makes me upset too. It’s more the fact the days are getting shorter. Not a fan of waking up/going home in the darkness!
