The WMW Challenge: Summer Dresses and Giant Jumpers
How has this challenge flown by so quickly?! Here we are on my last outfit for you! I’ve got a bag ready and waiting to go to the charity shop, and I feel a lot of clarity about what pieces I’d like to add to my wardrobe. Don’t worry, I’m not going to suddenly go on a binge and buy twenty jumpers. Still, how I’m looking at clothing is definitely changing. I find myself much more willing to spend a bit more on something decent that will last me years! Especially when it comes to giving my summer dresses a longer life, and making sure all of my clothing gets a little love, ya know?

This dress was a holiday treat for me, when we went to Sardinia in June. It got a lot of wear in the warmer weather, but come winter time has been gathering dust!
I know I’m not the only one who does that, but I wonder if there’s a better way to keep those summer dresses going a bit longer. Whack on a pair of tights and a big woolly jumper!
Honestly, I don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner! Remember that green dress that I wore a bunch during the summer? That’s totally feasible for the winter, with a cardigan and some tights! Why the heck not!

Since it is winter, after all, I chose to pair my summer dress with the ultimate winter accessory: a cozy jumper! This one has been in my wardrobe for a few years, and it’s just the best. Warm and cozy to a T! I’ve worn it so much over the years, in part for it’s comfort, but also because it goes with everything! What more could you want in a jumper?
The boots I admit to having a love/hate relationship with. I wanted some similar boots but they sold out before I could get them! So I settled for these. I took them with me to the Cotswolds and they got rather muddy. They were never quite the same to be honest! Since then, I’ve worn them a handful of times, but not very often. Maybe it’s time to let them go. Shoes are something my wardrobe is definitely lacking!
