We’re halfway through the month and I have to say, it’s going quickly! I’ve been going trough my wardrobe and have already decided on a few pieces to go! That’s partially the point, isn’t it? Still, I’m certainly falling in love with my wardrobe! There are definitely things I want to add, like jeans, trousers and more blouses. Taking the time to reacquaint myself with my clothing is helping me see where the gaps are!
It also serves a purpose of reminding me of the things I’ve bought for my wardrobe that have gotten no love at all…like this button-down bee shirt!
It’s been chilling out on a hanger for months but I’ve never actually warn it! What is that about?! I had my eye on it for ages, but it was out of stock in my size, then all of a sudden it came back AND I got a discount code!
Basically, it was fate!
I’m very busty, so button-downs are something I struggle with, but I find myself moving away from t-shirts at the moment.
Don’t worry, I still have lots of slogan tees up my sleeve… I just find myself wanting other options, you know?
Now that I’ve taken it out for a spin, I find myself thinking of other ways I can wear it.
With a cute pair of dungarees and trainers?
Tucked into a mini skirt?
With a pair of patterned trousers for a dressier but still fun look?
How do you like to style your button-downs? I’d love to hear in the comments!
Jumper, Cath Kidston // Shirt, Joules // Trousers, Boden // Shoes, Superga
The other two pieces I’m wearing here have definitely gotten a lot of love since I bought them. You might recognize the jumper from last year, and from Burano! It’s definitely one of my favorite jumpers!
The pink cords, while a newer purchase, are still a lot of fun.
I fully blame listening to Charlotte and Liv chat about their love of cord on The Fringe Of It, because I couldn’t resist!
Pink is also definitely one of my happy colors. I’m a sucker for a pastel. In case you hadn’t noticed!
Anyway, I have one more outfit for you as part of the Wear My Wardrobe Challenge, and then once January is over, I’ll be allowed to shop again. I’m pretty excited about that to be honest!
