A Trip to Mayfield Lavender Farm
As much as I love exploring London, sometimes it’s fun to pop out into the countryside for the day. So, Mr. Actually and I decided to head down to Mayfield Lavender Farm for a few hours of sunshine and countryside! This was something I had on my summer bucket list, so I was pretty happy to tick it off! Lavender fields are just so pretty, and a quintessential part of summer!

Now, you know I’m a sucker for lavender fields… remember when Michelle and I went to Hitchins last year? There’s something so lovely about seeing that sea of purple stretching out. Plus, it smells so lovely!
Mayfield Lavender Farm is pretty easy to get to from London. Since we live in south London, we hopped on a bus to West Croydon, and then took another to the lavender fields. When we arrived there were plenty of people, so if you’re planning a trip, I’d recommend going early!
We wandered around in the sunshine and listened to all the bees buzzing. There are a lot of bees! Stand still for a moment and you can hear hundreds of them buzzing!
They also had a really pretty wildflower field with lots of poppies. That’s another thing I’d like to see one day… a whole field of poppies. So pretty!

We had a lovely little wander through the fields, and while we didn’t stay and enjoy any treats from the cafe, I was definitely tempted! Especially by the lavender shortbread cookies they had, or some of the honey on offer!
We stayed for about an hour in the end, as it just got busier and busier, especially in the cafe area, so we decided to move on. Still it was lovely to stop by just for that bit of time! Honestly, I think lavender fields will be on my bucket list every summer because it’s always so nice! And if I go back to Mayfield Lavender Farm, I’ll be sure to go nice and early to beat the crowds!

I LOVE THAT LAVENDAR FIELD AND MORE THE HONEY LIKE WINNIE
