What’s On My Skincare Shelf Right Now
{ad/pr product}
This skin I’m in… I’m giving myself a pat on the back because I’ve been pretty good with my skincare lately. It comes in phases, and sometimes I’m really good. Other times, I’m so bad and will go weeks without *really* sticking to a routine. Since I’m on a roll at the moment, I’m sharing what I’ve been using lately. Who doesn’t love having a little chat about skincare from time to time? Here’s what’s on my skincare shelf right now…

My main routine happens at night, so that’s where my skincare shelf has most of it’s muscle. I’m definitely a double cleanse gal, especially on days when I’ve got makeup on (even my nude lipstick days) Mornings are just a simple cleanse and moisturise vibe, so it’s a little easier. Still, I like to mix and match what products I’m using based on what my skin needs. I’ve got combination skin so it definitely varies! Anywhere, here’s a little peek at what’s on my skincare shelf!
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser: This one has been on my shelf for a few years now. It’s my main cleanser in the morning! I love that it’s not too harsh, and leaves my skin feeling refreshed! It’s definitely been a repeat purchase.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask: A bit of a cult product that I was wary of trying, purely because of the hype. Still, when I was home in New York, I found a mini size in Sephora and thought I’d try it. Well, I’m still using it, so safe to say I’m a fan! I usually use this mask two or three nights a week, and my skin always feels super hydrated! The price did put me off a little but now that I’ve used it, I’m a bit more amenable to it. Plus a little goes a long way!
Fresh Soy Face Cleanser: A newer addition to the skincare shelf, this lovely cleanser was given to me by a friend. I’d tried a mini sample once before but this is was the first time I’d used it properly. Well, I can see why people like it so much! It’s really smooth on the skin and definitely does the job. I’ve been alternating using it with my Glossier cleanser, and it’s very refreshing!
True Clarifying Safflower and Geranium Cleansing Oil: When it came to taking my makeup off at the end of a long day, micellar water never did it for me. Once I started using cleansing oil, it was game over! This cleanser I’ve been using for a while and its really fantastic. It gets all my makeup off the first time round, and leaves my skin feeling great!
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (pr product): Another cleanser I’d heard about for ages, and definitely worth the hype. I use this in the evenings after I’ve oil cleansed and removed my makeup. The texture feels great, and the scent is really lovely. It’s not life changing, but I do really like using it!
REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic: My skin can be a little sensitive, so I don’t always use toners because they can be a little harsh. This was, the first few uses, but now my skin has adjusted to it, and it’s actually really made a difference. I’ve only been using it at night so as not to irritate my skin but so far so good!
Tropic Skin Feast Nourishing Cream Concentrate (pr product): I was initially using this as part of a full set I was sent from Tropic Skincare. I finished the other products in the bundle, but this one is still going! It’s a nice light coverage and perfect for my morning moisturizer top up. I don’t think it’s a repeat product for me, but it’s nice in the meantime.
Drunk Elephant Electrolyte Waterfacial Hydrating Mask: The cult brand has made it’s way onto my skincare shelf at long last. I have to admit, I didn’t actually buy it but was given it by a pal. I’ve been using it every few days in the evening (alternating with my Glow Recipe mask) to make it last a little longer. My skin feels really great when I use it, but I ‘m trying to decide if the price tag feels worth it to me… the struggle!
Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter: A smooth buttery cleanser that smells lush! I haven’t used this too much yet, but it’s always nice to have an alternative. I’ll report back when I’ve used it for a little longer, but I am liking it so far!

I think skincare can always be a little trial and error. It depends so much on what’s happening with my body too, depending on where my cycle is or what my diet has been like. Still, taking the time to try out different products and try to see what works is always a nice feeling. I guess to me, it’s a little bit of self care!
